Excerpt

The moon guided me, yet it was my need that drove me forward. For too long I had slept, and now the hunger gnawed at my very soul, demanding to be satiated. Coming to rest atop the town’s post office building, I inhaled deeply, my senses seeking my next meal before jumping down into the dark alleyway below.

Exiting the alleyway, I walked briskly but carefully through the late night throng of people leaving the clubs and bars, some of them stumbling from too much alcohol and others just eager to get to the safety and softness of their beds. Keeping my head lowered so no one saw my face in the street lights, I soon reached the street entrance my senses brought me to.

Only two of the houses had lights on, and I inhaled deeply once again. Neither of the lighted houses were the ones I sought. That one was slightly back, in the far right corner and in complete darkness.

Moving slowly toward the house, my senses were on full alert lest I should be discovered, but I reached my target unchallenged. With one leap I was outside the window, and as I peered through the gap in the curtains, I could see her. She was beautiful. Through the moonlight shining through her window, I could make out her outline under the thin sheet covering her naked body, and my excitement rose.

For a few minutes I just watched as the sheets rose and fell in time with her slow breathing. Ghosting into the room and appearing at the foot of her bed, I stood silently, just looking down at her. I licked my lips before moving around the side of the bed until I was standing level with her head.

Normally I was in and out quickly, but there was something about this one that caused me to linger.

Excerpt

Opening the door, I stepped out into the cold, dark night air. Snow lay untouched on the ground, looking like a freshly washed, white duvet. Slowly, I began to walk along where the path normally was, careful not to slip on the treacherous surface, and headed toward the town.

It had been a couple of months since I had ventured out at night. I hadn’t wanted, or needed to, but for too long I had gone without. Gone without the feel of naked skin against mine. Gone without the feeling of being needed, wanted. And gone without the taste and smell that I loved so much. The taste and smell of sex, sweat and, of course, blood.

Being cursed as I was had both its positives and negatives. When the need came it was so easy for me to satiate myself, so easy to find a partner, a lover, a victim. I stood six foot three inches tall, had the body of an Olympic athlete, and the rugged looks of a film star, so finding someone to spend the night with was easy. Man, or woman, it didn’t matter to me just as long as I got what I wanted. What I needed.

Synopsis

Will deception be the end of Isaac and Xavier's budding love, or will Isaac give in to the promises made for love eternal?

Isaac instantly becomes intrigued with a handsome man he notices across the room at the club. Turns out, this man has certainly noticed Isaac, and has been watching him the entire night. Too bad he's disappeared before Isaac could make a move.

For the next few weeks the man seems show up everywhere Isaac is, constantly watching him. The more he sees the mysterious stranger, the deeper his interest becomes. Oddly, every time Isaac makes a move toward the mystifying stranger, he disappears from view, almost as if he were a ghost.

Xavier has been searching for centuries for someone just like Isaac. Someone he could spend his life with, share his dreams with, and eventually, continue his bloodline. He sets off a little game of cat and mouse, designed to tempt Isaac into getting to know him. Xavier isn’t an ordinary man, though, and he hides a big secret until the very end.

Excerpt

I hadn’t ever been to the club previously. I didn’t even know it existed prior to then. Ever since the day I first walked in and saw him, I knew I wanted –no, needed– to get to know him. He stood just a shade over six feet tall, looked strong, without being overly muscular, and his hair was the color of the darkest night. How I wished I could have gotten close to him that night, to see him within a direct proximity, but it was not to be.

As soon as he saw I was watching him, he seemed to disappear into the darkness of the club. No matter where I looked, I just couldn’t find him again. I didn’t have to worry, though I wish I knew this at the time, because it wasn’t going to be the last time I saw him. In fact, from that night forward I saw him everywhere. In the streets, at work, in shops, literally everywhere I would go. However, oddly enough, every time I tried to get within a stone's throw of him, he would seem to vanish. I honestly couldn't explain it, not even to myself.

It soon became almost like a game, I would see him, make to move toward him and he would be gone, just like that. It was as if he were toying with me, testing me, seeing just how much I wanted to get near him. I must have passed his test, because after a few weeks of the dematerializing act, he began to let me get closer. Not close enough to speak to him, or even to make out his features perfectly, but closer than he did at the start. At first, it was just two or three steps closer, then five or six, but soon I was getting to within five feet of him and when I did, he would still turn and dissipate, though I never could see just how he did it. One minute he'd be in my line of sight, and the next, I'd blink, the area where he'd stood was empty.

It seemed impossible anyone could just disappear into a crowd like he did, but I was witnessing it with my own eyes. It even got to the stage where if I jumped forward I would be able to touch him, and I thought about trying it but the look in his eyes told me not to. Something sinister there, an odd, dark kind of spark perhaps, sent shivers running down my spine each time I even speculated about reaching out a hand to touch him.

New release promo: Blue Moon House book 7: Harlot by Angelica Dawson

Blue Moon House book 7: Harlot

What happens when the sacrifice you make for another turns into a life you can’t abandon? Gwendolyn didn’t plan to become a whore. She didn’t expect to fall in love with another woman. She certainly wouldn’t guess that woman was a vampire. By the time she learns, it is too late, her heart belongs to Sophia and she will do anything to stay with the woman, the vampire, she loves.

Enjoy this steamy excerpt from Harlot:

As soon as the door closed behind him, James grabbed her by the arms, spun her around and slammed her back into the door.
“I don't like being told what to do.” His voice was gravelly and low, menacing.
She swallowed and tried to calm herself. She was barely successful.
“On the bed, and remove that foolish shift.”
Gwendolyn obeyed silently, instinctively. The authority in his voice was unmistakable and unavoidable. She sat atop the bed, naked, watching him as he gathered a soft, silk rope that was coiled on a chest of drawers.
He rolled her onto her stomach, pulling her arms behind her. She had barely registered that her elbows were lashed together before he was flipping her again and tying her ankles to a thick staff, notched on either end to hold the rope and keep it from sliding along the shaft. Her legs weren't spread uncomfortably, but it was pinching her tied arms, which pressed into the bed. That eased when he picked her up and set her on her feet.
Gwendolyn worried she would topple over, but the staff tucked into the hollow of her ankles and didn't affect her ability to stand at all. She was overcome with a feeling of helplessness, though. She had feigned that with David, but this was real and it made her weep.
Her tears only fuelled James' fire and he braced his hands on the wall behind her, one over each ear. He licked up her cheeks, tasting the tears.
“Are you afraid of me, girl?”
She opened her mouth but nothing came out. His mouth covered hers, and she couldn't answer if she'd been able. His tongue savagely roamed her mouth and she gasped for air when he broke the kiss.
“Now, let's see what you can handle.”

The night Halloween changed forever

The night Halloween changed forever

Glancing up at the living room clock I saw it was almost 7:30, which meant our guests would be arriving any minute and I hadn't seen, or heard, Steph since she went upstairs to get ready, almost two hours earlier. I didn't even want the damn party but she insisted, saying it had been a tradition in her family since she'd been a child.
Putting my glass on the coffee table I walked out of the room, to the bottom of the stairs.
“Come on, babe, everyone will be arriving in a few minutes.”
When she didn't call back I assumed she was either still getting her costume on, or she'd fallen asleep in the bath. Just as I was about to call out again there was a loud knocking on the front door. Turning from the stairs I gripped the handle and pulled the door open.
“Happy Halloween, Mike,” Rachel, one of our guests, virtually screamed in my face. “Where's Steph? I can't wait to see what she's wearing this year.”
“Still getting ready, I guess,” I replied, taking in her zombie cheerleader outfit before stepping back and letting her in.
“I'm sure the wait will be worth it.”
“I hope so, she's been up there two hours.”
“You know what she's like. Everything has got to be just perfect,” Rachel said. “Mine's a vodka and coke by the way.”
After taking one last look up the stairs, hoping Steph had heard Rachel's knocking and would now hurry up, I followed Rachel into the front room.
“Take a seat, Rach,” I told her, before picking up my glass and moving over to the table to get us both a drink.
“Who else is invited, Mike?”
“It would be easier to tell you who she hasn't invited,” I joked. “You know Steph can't go small when it comes to get-togethers.”
Handing Rachel her drink I sat in one of the leather armchairs and glanced up at the clock again. Five minutes later there was another knock at the door.
Getting up I went and did the same routine as when Rachel turned up, only this time I was greeted by half a dozen kids, all dressed in various Halloween costumes.
“Trick or treat, Mr,” they all said in unison.
“Looking good, kids, hang on.”
Taking the large bowl of candy from the bottom of the stairs I held it out.
“Take a couple each.”
“Thanks, Mr,” they replied, their hands all diving into the bowl at the same time.
“You be careful,” I told them, once they'd finished helping themselves.
“We will, Mr and thanks again.”
With that I watched them head out of my garden, to a waiting adult I hadn't noticed. Smiling to myself I thought back to when I was a kid and went trick or treating, sighing how much more dangerous it was than back then.
I was just about to close the door when Alison and David, two more invited guests came down the path.
“Alright, you two? Just go in the front room and help yourselves to drinks, Rachel's already here.”
“Thanks, Mike. Don't mind if we do,” David, who was dressed as a vampire, replied.
“I'm just going to see if Steph needs a hand. She's been getting ready most of the night,” I told him.
After closing the front door I turned to the stairs and made my way up them, two at a time.
“Come on, babe,” I called, as I made the way to our bedroom. Rachel, Alison and David are already here.”
After passing the bathroom, and checking to make sure Steph wasn't asleep in the bath, I continued towards our bedroom door which, for some reason, was closed. Placing my ear against the door I could hear soft murmuring coming from inside so, thinking she was more than likely asleep on the bed, I gently pressed the handle down and pushed the door slightly ajar.
“Steph?” I whispered, not wanting to scare her.
Still, there was no reply so, after opening the door a little more, I poked my head through the gap. Unable to believe what I was seeing I froze. Steph was on the bed, only she wasn't asleep or dressed and she wasn't alone.
Propping herself up with her arms, her head was thrown back, her back was arched and a stunning blonde, in nothing but a black and red corset, was sitting astride her, her breasts fully exposed as well.
Unable to move I stared transfixed at the sight of my girlfriend, who had never shown any interest in the opposite sex, writhing beneath the blonde woman moaning in ecstasy. The woman on top was grinding her hips against Steph's pussy as if she was making love to her her, each thrust causing Steph's moaning to become louder and louder.
“What the f...” I began to say, causing the woman on top to spin her head and look at me.
Although the woman was one of the most beautiful I had ever seen the way she stared at me made me feel uneasy.
“Come in, Mike. Join us,” The woman whispered seductively, before smiling and showing me her razor sharp fangs.
“Who the fu...”
“Yes, Mike,” this time it was Steph who was speaking.“Come and join us.”
As she finished speaking she also turned to face me, her own fangs, although smaller than the woman on top, were clearly visible.

Flash Fiction Friday: The hunt begins

The hunt begins

Holding the rose, which had mysteriously appeared on the table, tightly in her right hand Adreana closed her eyes. Inhaling the aromatic, yet blood stained, petals, she let a soft sigh escape from her lips as her heightened sense of smell told her exactly who had left the flower, while she had been sleeping.
Placing the rose back on her dresser she smiled softly. If he wants to play those games then I'm sure that can be arranged she thought, before hurriedly dressing, opening her bedroom window and leaping down to the street to begin her search.

Erotica...with bite

Available NOW for advanced purchase at Naughty Nights Press for anyone who can't wait to sink their teeth in to a little vampire erotica

Within the cover of this book comes four short tales combining a mixture of lust, passion, fear, sex, and the mystery you have come to expect with vampires. Be enthralled as each story introduces a new vampire, and their prey, to chill your blood and raise your temperature with each sinful situation.
Find out what happens when Damon leaves his sanctuary, his only intention to satisfy his hunger, or when Trent goes out in search of victims to create a new family to replace the one slaughtered by vampire hunters. Meet Paul, who bites off more than he can chew when he takes an older woman home for a night of rampant sex, and finally Reid, whose only concern is for the safety of the girl running into the forest, fear etched on her face.
Four tales, four different settings, all full of passion, fear, lust, sex, and above all, vampires.

Damon's Story

Waking from his sleep, Damon's hunger is eating away at his very existence and he knows he has to feed before it is too late. Leaving the safety of his sanctuary, he scours the streets until he finds the perfect home. In total darkness and set back from the other homes on the street, Damon peers through the window and sees Tyra.
Entering silently, he is stunned to find his intended victim not only partially awake, but also waiting for him. As she tells him about the dreams she has been plagued by, Damon is drawn to her beauty, and as the heat of the moment becomes too much for the pair of them, he realizes he has found not just another victim, but the perfect partner for all eternity.

Paul's Story

For Paul, a night out usually meant going to a bar, downing a few shots, and then setting his sights on some young, twenty-something year old woman. Once he had marked his prey, he would buy her a few drinks, work his charm on her, then take her back to his place for a night of animalistic lust.
But Roberta was different to his usual conquests. He had never seen her before and instead of being the shy, quiet type he normally set his sights on, she was a lot older than he was, and she oozed a natural confidence which made Paul want her even more.
Following the usual night of sex, drink, and even more sex, Paul found out more about Roberta then he wanted, and also exactly why he had been warned to be careful.

Trent's Story

For the first time in his life, Trent awoke to find himself alone, his whole family taken from him by the hunters. Only Trent wasn't a normal man. Trent was a vampire, and the family the hunters had taken from him were the last of his kind. For Trent, this was the final insult.
With nothing to lose and not wanting to spend eternity alone, Trent knew he had to create a new family. Only this family would be taken from the very society which had detested him and his kind for centuries.
Using his vampire charm, good looks, and good old fashioned bluff on them, Jenn and Terri were unlucky enough to be the first to fall under his spell. By the time they realized what Trent really was, it was too late.

Reid's Story

Reid always tried his hardest to be totally honest, decent, and well mannered, especially when it came to women. So the day she ran past him and into the trees with a look of fear on her face, he did what all good Samaritans did, and followed her.
All he wanted to do was make sure she was okay and unhurt, but each time he got close enough to speak to her, she screamed and sprinted further into the mists of the forest. Reid, still concerned for her safety, continued to chase after her until he suddenly stumbled and knocked himself out.
When he woke, the thick forest was gone, and Reid found himself strapped to a wooden bed and held captive.
With his own safety now his only concern, Reid decided to make a break for it and escape. He discovered the women holding him weren’t just women, though. They are female vampires, and they needed a new king.
