https://www.amazon.com/dp/B092TSDTKN

Synopsis

Within the cover of this book comes four short tales combining a mixture of lust, passion, fear, sex, and the mystery you have come to expect with vampires. Be enthralled as each story introduces a new vampire, and their prey, to chill your blood and raise your temperature with each sinful situation.

Find out what happens when Damon leaves his sanctuary, his only intention to satisfy his hunger, or when Trent goes out in search of victims to create a new family to replace the one slaughtered by vampire hunters. Meet Paul, who bites off more than he can chew when he takes an older woman home for a night of rampant sex, and finally Reid, whose only concern is for the safety of the girl running into the forest, fear etched on her face.

Four tales, four different settings, all full of passion, fear, lust, sex, and above all, vampires.

Excerpt

The moon guided me, yet it was my need that drove me forward. For too long I had slept, and now the hunger gnawed at my very soul, demanding to be satiated. Coming to rest atop the town’s post office building, I inhaled deeply, my senses seeking my next meal before jumping down into the dark alleyway below.

Exiting the alleyway, I walked briskly but carefully through the late night throng of people leaving the clubs and bars, some of them stumbling from too much alcohol and others just eager to get to the safety and softness of their beds. Keeping my head lowered so no one saw my face in the street lights, I soon reached the street entrance my senses brought me to.

Only two of the houses had lights on, and I inhaled deeply once again. Neither of the lighted houses were the ones I sought. That one was slightly back, in the far right corner and in complete darkness.

Moving slowly toward the house, my senses were on full alert lest I should be discovered, but I reached my target unchallenged. With one leap I was outside the window, and as I peered through the gap in the curtains, I could see her. She was beautiful. Through the moonlight shining through her window, I could make out her outline under the thin sheet covering her naked body, and my excitement rose.

For a few minutes I just watched as the sheets rose and fell in time with her slow breathing. Ghosting into the room and appearing at the foot of her bed, I stood silently, just looking down at her. I licked my lips before moving around the side of the bed until I was standing level with her head.

Normally I was in and out quickly, but there was something about this one that caused me to linger.

Excerpt
A kindred spirit. His warm brown eyes seemed to glow in the muted forest light, and the sun coming from behind hit his hair and it shone brighter than before, almost creating a halo. She shook her head lightly, berating herself for her fanciful thoughts. He was just an ordinary man. An ordinary man who was now a lot closer and stretching out his hand in greeting.
“I’m Adrian,” he introduced himself. “I’m from Adiron, just north of the forest.”
Persephone took his hand and a small bolt of electricity ran through her arm. Her eyes widened and she saw Adrian’s do the same.
“I’m sorry,” he said. “I’m not sure what happened there.”
Persephone smiled softly, though her heart still pounded from the shock. “That’s okay.” They looked at each other and laughed as they realized they’d repeated their first words to each other almost exactly. “I’m Persephone.” She chuckled, delighting in the merry sound of his deep laugh and the way his warm eyes seemed to dance, slightly crinkled at the corners from his mirth. “I’m from Mythosandria, just through the trees to the east. To be honest, I’m also trying to escape for some peace.”
Adrian nodded, a knowing look in his eyes. “I’ll share my story if you share yours.” He suddenly grinned devilishly.
She couldn’t help but flash her own grin in response. A deep breath sent sharp pain through her ribs, reminding her of why she was out here. She grimaced in pain, holding her hands to her side.
Adrian stepped forward, concern deepening his voice. “Are you all right?”
Persephone nodded, pain straining her voice. “I will be. Just some bruised ribs, courtesy of the drunkard I’m supposed to call Father.” Slowly straightening her stance, she took shallow breaths as the discomfort subsided. She glanced up at Adrian, who stood a head taller than her, despite being rather tall herself. His eyes had darkened and were almost black. She noticed his eyes scan her face, pausing on her cheek, and she guessed that a bruise was starting to show where she’d been struck. Adrian reached up his large hand to gently brush the tender flesh and Persephone flinched as a small stab of pain radiated from her cheek. He paused, his hand hovering over the skin but not touching while his eyes, still dark with anger, seemed to search her own, looking for what she didn’t know.
“Your own father did this to you?” he demanded quietly, his voice steady but his growing fury imminent. All she could do was nod and look down. His finger hooked her chin to force her to look up. “You do not look down in shame. You have nothing to ashamed about. He’s the brute who should be ashamed. I have half a mind to tell him as such.”
As he turned in the direction of her village, Persephone grabbed his arm. “No, please don’t!” she cried, hating herself for sounding so weak. “It’s not all the time; he just has bad days, that’s all.”
“And that gives him the right to lay a hand in anger on you? You should not be defending him. You’re the one who needs defending.”
His words pricked her pride. “Like I’m a defenseless, helpless maiden in need of rescuing? I can defend myself, thank you.” Anger flooded her where fear had been only moments before. “I won’t be standing idly by for much longer, I’ll have you know. I don’t care that they have plans for me to marry that pig the mayor calls a son,” she spat. “I just need to find somewhere to go when I leave.”
Adrian stood back and looked her up and down. She watched him take in her fiery stance and nod. “Glad to hear it.”

About the Author
Phoenix Johnson has always been intrigued by the written word. Even when she was a young girl, she usually had her nose stuck in at least one book, and her need to read would drive her to peruse the back of the same cereal box each morning at breakfast.
Paranormal and fantasy captured her heart, with tales about dragons, magic, and fanciful creatures sweeping her away to a wonderful new world where she felt she truly belonged. While she dabbled in writing while in primary school, it wasn’t until high school that she decided she should try her hand at writing her own book, and even gave poetry a try.
She wandered away from writing for a few years, but was soon encouraged to return and, within months of picking up the proverbial pen, Phoenix’ first story, The Wolf In The Neighborhood, was accepted for publication by Naughty Nights Press. While working on the rest of the Wolf Smitten Trilogy, Phoenix decided to take on a university degree, and is now in the final stretch of her Bachelor of Art’s degree in Professional Writing and Publishing, with plans to continue on to her Master’s degree.
In early 2015, Phoenix was thrilled to discover she’d made two Top 5 lists with three entries in the 2015 Easychair Bookshop Awards. In June, it was announced she had placed first in Best Paranormal with Once Bitten, Twice Shy, the second instalment in her Wolf Smitten Trilogy, while The Wolf In The Neighborhood and Wolf Smitten placed third in their respective categories of Best Paranormal and Best Series. With her inclusion in the Alphas on the Prowl Box Set in 2015, Phoenix hit the top 100 bestsellers lists across numerous distributors, number 1 bestseller on several Amazon lists, and this was quickly followed by the announcement of her achievement of number 1 bestseller for her publisher, Naughty Nights Press, for the full second quarter of 2015. The awards and achievements have only served to strengthen her ambitions, and she is now aiming at reaching the bestseller lists for USA Today and New York Times.
Phoenix has been working hard to make 2015 her year, and has been busy organizing paranormal anthology Twisted Tales with seven other authors. Its release at the end of June was greatly anticipated, and she is extremely excited to see where her writing career takes her next.

PROMO WEEK- TUESDAY featuring LILY WEIDNER

Welcome to the second day of promo week in The Crypt my Children of the Night. Today's guest promo features one author but two very different books.

The author is Lily Weidner and the two books are Submissive Zombie Slut and Southern Superstition.

SYNOPSIS:

Sarah is left for dead after a run in with a few zombies. Fearing the worst, what can she do but wait? Sarah then discovers a hidden side to the zombie apocalypse. Perhaps this isn’t the end of the world after all, but merely the end of sex as Sarah knows it. These zombies aren't just seeking brains; they need to satisfy an even more primal desire. Sarah is in for a kinky night of group zombie sex when the zombies begin to having their way with her. What she doesn’t expect is to discover a new side of her desire, a dark side that longs for a world dominance and submission.

EXCERPT:

My hands remained pinned down, and there was nothing I could do as she got on top of me. Her skirt was ripped to shreds, and there was nothing left of her panties. The more my body moved to accommodate the body on top of me, the more she moved closer. In a matter of seconds, she was straddling my mouth. Her pussy was inches from my mouth, and curiosity got the better of me. Until then, I’d always wondered what another woman would taste like.
Slowly, my tongue reached up to her warm pussy. It was surprisingly wet, and the taste of her filled me with a hungry desire. My hands fought to be free, and eventually were able to hold the female in place. Her juices ran down onto my mouth, and I licked even more intently. My tongue parted her lips, and penetrated her as deep as possible. With my tongue deep within her pussy, my lips sucked around her entrance. The female seemed to love what I was doing, and it gained the attention of another male zombie.
The male zombie looked at the female on top of me with lust, and he managed to bend her over. Not wanting to refuse, my grip loosened on her legs. Seeking balance, the female gripped my ankles. I found myself trapped underneath them, as the male excited the one of top of me. Her moans grew louder, as the male began to thrust inside her. My head tilted back as far as possible, and for a moment I watched his dick thrust continually into the girl’s pussy. The sight of it made me extremely excited, and my mouth worked its way up to the man’s dick

SYNOPSIS:

Austen and Samantha have turned away from their Southern heritage. So their first night in their new house couldn’t be stranger. With the lights out, and the bed their only furniture, Samantha finds that the past comes back to haunt her. When the past suddenly takes human form, Samantha’s in for a night of passion and erotic bliss. Sometimes being haunted by ghosts is as bad as people think.

EXCERPT:

Austen slept peacefully beside her, and Samantha was left staring at the ghostly intruder. He seemed to look at her, but then at times seemed to look beyond her.
“Can…can I help you?”
His eyes met hers, but otherwise did nothing. Hesitantly, she reached out to touch him. To her surprise, her fingers made contact with his skin. There was a chill that ran through her body, yet he still felt like flesh and blood.
This time he looked at her fingers, and then met her eyes.
“You can see me?”
Samantha nodded, not sure what to say.  She wasn’t sure why she was able to see him either, or what was even going on. The man seemed shocked by this, and looked down at his simple bedding.
“Is that your husband?”
Looking back at the bed, Samantha found herself blushing.
“He’s my boyfriend.”
There was a look of sadness on the man’s face, and then he reached out and touched Samantha’s cheek.
“I had a wife like you.”
His touch made her look at him again, and then a part of her smiled.
“Is that why you sleep here?”
He looked at his bed, the gun he once carried in life still resting beside it.
“I believed in something once. Something that can be true again.”
Shaking her head, Samantha didn’t have the heart to tell him he would never see his dream fulfilled. His death had probably spared him the reality of seeing how the war had turned out. It didn’t take much for her to see that he wouldn’t be pleased with the outcome.
A part of her was now longing to comfort him, though she didn’t quite know how to do so. Taking a chance, she reached out pulling his mouth to hers.
Surprised, his hands wrapped around her waist pushing her down onto his bedding. There were no words spoken between them, only his insistent hands upon her body.

Interview from The Crypt: Cree Walker

Children of the Night welcome to yet another Interview from The Crypt, today featuring the exceptionally talented Cree Walker.

First of all I would just like to say welcome to The Crypt and thank you for stopping by today.

Why don’t you introduce yourself to my Creatures of the Night and tell us a little about yourself.
I am author Cree Walker. I have two books out right now Whisper on a Scream and it’s sequel Willing Sacrifice. I’m currently contracted for a third, A Winter’s Grave . I don’t do much besides hanging out with friends, working and writing. My perfect day would be hanging out in the woods with my dogs and my man. I live in northern Maine and for those of you who don’t know, that’s that huge section north of Stephen King’s Bangor J

When did you first begin to write? Was there a specific moment or did something happen to make you think ‘I could be a writer’?
I first began to write in high school. I had a lot of teenage angst from being a state kid and I needed a way to vent that without getting arrested. My moment came only a few years ago when my then boyfriend discovered I was a writer. It was a huge secret and I worried he’d laugh at the idea…only he didn’t. He told me to promise him that I would at least try to get published and when the door wasn’t slammed in my face the way I’d expected it to it gave me enough encouragement to continue.

What are you currently working on? Would you mind giving the readers a quick synopsis in 100 words or less?
Right now I’m working on a book called Maple Manor Home for Retired Supernaturals. It is a comedy about a part vampire, Maple, who’s inherited her family’s retirement home and the supernatural residents within it. She has a lot of growing up to do, having spent most of her adult years messing around in college but with the lessons learned from her elderly friends she is able to defeat her high school arch nemesis, save Maple Manor and find love in her handyman who’s also a part-time stripper and a full time sex demon.

Where do you draw your inspiration for your stories, characters and settings?
Well for that particular story, it came to me in a dream. But mostly it comes to me while I’m listening to music or working with my hands. That gives me enough time to get bored and slip into daydreaming…something I do much too much of for an adult.

Is there one particular genre you prefer writing in and is there a genre you would never attempt and if so why?
Oh I really prefer writing in paranormal. I had a friend ask me one time if I’d ever thought of writing a normal book. I said why would I do that when paranormal is my thing and it’s also a top selling genre right now. I love the darker side of things but I also like to make them humorous.

If you weren’t a writer/ couldn’t write anymore what would you do?
I’d probably watch a lot more television and weep.

If you could become a member of the opposite sex for 24 hours what would be the first thing you would do?
I hang out a lot with guys…enough so that they’ve stopped editing what they say in front of me. But if I were a guy for a day I would want to see how many women’s numbers I could get, just by knowing what I know as a woman.

Which fantasy creature/being do you like the most?
That’s a tough one…but I think I like the werewolves in my first novels the best.

If you could be your favorite fantasy figure what would be the first thing you would do?
This is going to be selfish. I would want to be Batman…the dude’s loaded. Then the first thing I would do would be to go on an incredibly cool vacation somewhere I can’t afford to go…so that’s pretty much anywhere.

What scares you the most?
Failure!

Favorite film?
Snatch, not only does Brad Pitt have his shirt off for like two thirds of it but it’s also a very twisted tale.

Worst film you have ever seen?
The Expendables. Normally I love these guys all individually but if I had to swallow one more cheesy line I was going to vomit.

Favourite book?
That’s another tough one but I think the book that changed the way I read the most would have to be Janet Evanovich’s One for the Money. The entire series is a riot.

When you go shopping what is the one thing that you always HAVE to buy?
I buy a lot of ebooks and I’m a very grateful for my Kindle because I was simply running out of shelf space. Couple this with the fact that you get them instantly, you’re saving trees and they are more affordable and I’m in Heaven. I buy at least four a month so I’m very very grateful.

Going back to favourite film write an erotic scene featuring the main characters in 100 words or less.
Sorry there is no love interest in Snatch…ironic huh J

And finally, just for a light hearted end to the interview.
What words would you want etched on your tombstone ?
Oldest woman to ever write a book. Famous author Cree Walker may you rest in peace.

Thank you for joining me today and I would like to wish you all the best in future endeavours.
Thank you for giving me the opportunity to be here today.
