Flash Fiction Friday: The hunt begins

The hunt begins

Holding the rose, which had mysteriously appeared on the table, tightly in her right hand Adreana closed her eyes. Inhaling the aromatic, yet blood stained, petals, she let a soft sigh escape from her lips as her heightened sense of smell told her exactly who had left the flower, while she had been sleeping.
Placing the rose back on her dresser she smiled softly. If he wants to play those games then I'm sure that can be arranged she thought, before hurriedly dressing, opening her bedroom window and leaping down to the street to begin her search.
