Flash Fiction Friday: First Date

First Date

Finally reaching her destination, and with the torrential rain soaking her to the skin, Julie ran her fingers through her hair. Even though she knew she must have looked like a drowned rat she also knew there was no backing down now. Walking up the stairs to the front door Julie rang the bell, and waited.
The two of them had been chatting online for six months and, over that time, they had grown closer and closer until they finally admitted their true feelings for each other, even though neither of them had ever been in a same sex relationship before.

I loved the build up and tension. The first time I was with a woman was nerve jolting. One is almost overwhelmed by nerves even tho you know them so well. Far more nerve racking than any other traditional first date. Electrically charged, Julez, as is fittingm :) xo
