The beach
Watching
the couple walking along the edge of the water I was about to smile
when I saw the water begin to swell, as if a giant wave was about to
appear out of nowhere. Frozen to the spot all I could do was watch,
as the water suddenly, and inexplicably, parted.
Before the couple knew what was happening, and before I had a chance
to scream out a warning, a large beast suddenly appeared from beneath
the depths and dragged the two of them back under the water, leaving
the sea looking as though it had never been disturbed.
