Flash Fiction Friday: The Christmas effect

The Christmas effect

Staring out of my apartment I watched the rink slowly fill up with families, couples and groups of children. I could tell by the look on their faces how happy they were, yet here I sat, alone, just like I had ever since she'd left me on that fateful Christmas Eve, telling me she no longer loved me.
As I continued to watch, and hear, the laughter and music I decided enough was enough. No longer would I hide away, only going out to work. It was time for me to change, and what better time of the year to start than Christmas.

I'd like to wish all my friends and followers a very Merry Christmas.

Merry Christmas Julez!! I loved this flash. Sweet and loved the desire to change and not hide. Reminds me of me in a way. I hide and keep to myself but decided its time for a change. Hugs!! Awesome flash!
