Tantalizing Tuesday Tease: Avoiding the rain

Avoiding the rain

I'd taken this short cut, and seen the derelict mausoleum, numerous times and never bothered about it. Now though, with the storm as bad as it was, I darted through the broken doorway. Hopefully the rain would relent quickly, so I didn't have to spend any longer than was absolutely necessary sheltering in somebody's final resting place.
It was a shame the building had been left to get in to such disrepair because, whoever was laid to rest in here must have been someone of importance. Apart from the smashed front entrance the walls had been daubed with grafitti, and the floor was littered with empty beer cans, fast food wrappers and cigarette butts. At least it was dry though. The rain had come down harder than I could ever remember, and within seconds I'd been soaked to the skin.
Looking out it seemed to be raining worse than when I entered and I just hoped it would stop eventually. Because there was no way I wanted to spend the whole night in here.
Turning to walk back inside I'd no idea I wasn't alone, at least not until her fangs pierced the soft tissue of my neck.
