Waiting
As soon as she heard
the first bird calls of the day Ruby eased herself from her bed and
made her way over to the window, just as she had every day for the
last four months. Peering out on to the street, wearing nothing
other than the tight vest top and lace panties she had slept in, she
didn't care that she was in full view of anyone who might be passing
by.
As far as she was
concerned the whole world could stop and stare as long as the one
person she really wanted, no needed, to see was among the crowd.
Ever since the day
Angel had walked out of the front door Ruby felt as though her life
had frozen in time and every day she'd silently prayed, even though
she wasn't in any way religious, for the only woman she had ever
loved to return home safely from the front lines.
Once she did,
because she just knew that day would arrive, Ruby had decided that
the two of them couldn't just carry on as they were and had spent the
time they'd been apart preparing the most lavish
engagement/homecoming party anyone had ever seen.

Oh I hope she returns that day...
Oh, this is beautiful, Julez. You can feel her longing for Angel. I hope she returns safely.
Lovely teaser.
Beautiful sentiment within this teaser. I could feel her anticipation. Very moving.
