Flash Fiction Friday: Fiona's vow

Fiona's vow

Except for the white chair, and lace curtains over the window, the room was completely bare. The floor was no more than polished wood and the walls just brick which had been painted white but Fiona preferred it this way, she had ever since she'd managed to escape from her controlling ex.
As far as she was concerned she'd been surrounded by darkness for far too long and now, as far as she was concerned, anything and everything dark no longer existed. From now on Fiona vowed her life would be filled with nothing but colour and light, no matter what.
