Hope you enjoy.

Returning home

"I don't give a fuck how fucking long that place has been in your family,” Tina screamed as I stood by the car, staring at the dilapidated building in front of me. “I will never set foot in there, let alone live in it.”
“Jesus, Tina, once it's done up it will be great,” I replied, over my shoulder.
You are not spending one fucking dime of our money on that.”
Ignoring her I continued to stare at my late father's home, imagining what I could do with it, if she would just stop nagging me all the time.
“I'm going to take a look inside, are you coming?”
“Am I fuck,” Tina snapped, as she started to shut the car window. “Just don't take all fucking day.”
Walking toward the house a chill coursed through my body, yet I continued forward and gripped the front door handle. Turning it slowly I pushed the door open and stepped inside, only for it to instantly slam behind me.
“Welcome home, son,” my father's voice suddenly boomed out, causing me to spin round and reach for the handle, which was no longer there.

Dare I say the obvious, Julez?? Haunting! That, too, was a great teaser. I am thoroughly intrigued!! Well done and Tina played a vital role of mounting angst. Loved it:) xo

Fantastic Tease! It could be interpreted in many intriguing directions. Maybe I read into too much but I thought he became his father and could not change back to who he was before.

Oh crap!! Wow! That made me jump. I want to know more. You have to keep going with this story. Why is father there let alone alive. Now the door handle is gone? WOW!! *feels heart pounding in chest*

Goddamn, Tina's a piece of work. House aside, this couple has clearly been together too long. Intriguing premise based on a wonderfully evocative picture. More perhaps?
