Flash Fiction Friday: Tara's guardian

Tara's guardian

Placing my hand on the back of her head I bent down and kissed her forehead.
“Please don't go,” Tara whimpered, her eyes closed and a solitary tear seeping from one of her eyes. “Not again.”
“You know I have to.”
“But it's not fair,” Tara sobbed.
“I know, babe.”
“I need you,” she pleaded. “I can't go on without you.”
“Yes you can,” I whispered, “and just remember, I will always be looking over you.”
Releasing her head I spread my arms and rose back to the heavens, where I would continue to watch over her.

In my dreams, I wish for their touch, their presence, there love. I share the loss she feels once again. Once is enough, but you always hope your won't have to feel that again, but you do: Over and over again. It is painful and cruel, but we cannot stop ourselves from pursuing the dream. Lovely, poignant, hopful and sad. The painful humanity of love. Beautiful, Julez. xo

Wow! powerfully full of emotion. My heart aches for her. I hope they can be rejoined soon in time, and maybe he can come back to visit her. Wonderful flash!! :)
