Flash Fiction Friday: The End

The End

It was too late to turn back now the truth had come out. As I stormed out of our home for the final time, the rain hammering against my naked top half, tears and rain mixed as one. We had been together for years yet, over the last few months, things had changed.
We spoke rarely and then only to argue about the state of what we used to call our relationship. It was like we were two complete strangers living under one roof and that wasn't what I wanted, needed or was prepared to put up with any longer.

Sometimes you just have to let go. Beautifully written.

I can feel his disappointment and acceptance of this painful end. Powerful flash.

Very sad 100 words to describe his sorrow and the end of his relationship. Nice take on the photo.

Time for change. If that isn't one person and/or the other, it's the relationship. So hard, especially when one is ready for something new and the other clings to what was.
